How to create environments that promote active modes of transport
The Local Health System Playbook for Active Transport provides local government units with ready-to-use tools to help build healthy and active transport environments. This playbook provides evidence-based interventions that local decision-makers may find useful for implementation at the local level; these interventions, while based on national-level data, may be modified by local governments to more appropriately address specific issues in their communities. Likewise, the components included herein may be modified to local contexts, subject to a needs assessment of LGUs or authorized sub-units.
If you work for an LGU, this playbook can help you:
Ordinances relating to the implementation of the Bike Lane Network, pedestrian walkways, and its enforcement and penalties.
List of materials, utilities and budget breakdowns for the conduct of essential activities.
This plan includes a mapping, resource allocation, developing communication plan, and relevant documents needed to monitor and evaluate the said program.
This communication plan seeks to support the transition to safe, healthy, people-oriented, efficient, and convenient road networks and road infrastructure by promoting the safe use of bicycle lanes among the commuting public, and by ensuring the safety and health of the most vulnerable road users.
Adapt PH is a nationwide campaign that aims to utilize the power of design and the nudge theory to help change behaviors of Filipinos with regard to COVID-19 minimum safety guidelines.
